Trips: spring break 2010

  Spring Break Travel Club

Monday, March 29 – Mississippi River Museum

Dubuque, IA
Six large aquariums, interactive exhibits, hands-on Mammals of the Mississippi program, and living history demonstrations.


Tuesday, March 30 - RiverEdge Nature Center

Newburg, WI
Maple Sugarin’ – Campers will visit a sugar bush to experience this traditi- onal spring event!  We will get to tap a tree and enjoy a taste of Spring. After lunch, campers will create some art related to the mornings’ adventure.


Wednesday, March 31 – Mt. Olympus Indoor Theme & Water Park Wisconsin Dells, WI
Enjoy a thrilling day at The Parthenon Indoor Theme Park featuring the 44-foot tall OPA Twister Coaster and the new Alien Ball Pit.  Take a plunge down the 10-story Anaconda water slide at Medusa’s Indoor Water Park!  There’s something for everyone.


Thursday, April 1 – Wander Wisconsin’s Urban Bird Day

Madison, WI
Become a citizen scientist for a day!  Campers will head to Lake Farm Park in the morning to learn about and count common local birds found in urban areas. We will record birds that we see and enter our data
online to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology data site when we return to the Wander outpost.  We will have lunch and some time to play and explore at the park before heading out! Back at the outpost, once we enter the data, we will put our artistic talents to work creating bird related works of art - paint, draw or sculpt!


Friday, April 2 – Kalahari Water Park

Wisconsin Dells, WI
Campers will visit a Wander favorite - Wisconsin’s largest indoor water park with 125,000 square feet of wet & wild indoor fun!
